Research at Cardiff Metropolitan University is dedicated to solving societal challenges in the inter-disciplinary areas of (i) Health and Human Performance, (ii) Resilient Societies, (iii) Food Science, Safety and Security, and (iv) Human Centred Desig. Focus is provided through the CardiffMet Global Academies. Within CardiffMet, Cardiff School of Technologies supports the Global Academies in the development and application of cutting edge technologies. The projects underway at Cardiff School of Technologies in collaboration with Industry include KTP, SMART and KESS partnerships to solve industry problems in Big Data, AI, Social Robotics, Machine Learning, Blockchain Technologies, Cyber Security, Communications, IoT, Computer Vision, Data Science and Data Physicalisation. The research expertise in Cardiff School of Technologies includes the BioEngineering Research Group (BRG), Centre for Industry 4.0 and Blockchain Research (CI4BCR), Creative Computing Research Centre (CCRC), Cybersecurity, Information Networks Centre (CINC) and the EUREKA Robotics Centre.
