Overview

With strengths in natural sciences, the environment, engineering and biosciences, research in the three Wales National Research Networks aligns strongly with Horizon Europe research priorities and funding calls, as well as those for Welsh Government.

This joint NRN event is designed to bring together academics from across a variety of disciplines in all the Welsh HEI’s to debate and shape potential future research collaborations particularly focussed around Horizon Europe Cluster 6.

Why Attend

The event is open to all researchers in Welsh HEIs, as well as industry groups and companies and other related organisations working in this area. By participating, you will meet researchers from other organisations and disciplines, widen your network and broaden the opportunity for funding bids.

Programme

Keynote speakers will describe/highlight /explore the challenges and opportunities for research in the key areas of food security, xx and xx (take buzz words from Call/presentation areas). We will also hear from xx about funding opportunities.

Sandpit style sessions will provide an opportunity for you to present your current research and seek complementary areas to expand your project.

And for early career researchers, we are collaborating with Learned Society Wales who will be running sessions on how to grow your Network and how to develop and write funding bids.

The programme will have a different focus on each day, enabling participants to attend those of most interest. Topics to be covered will include -
