NRN Management Board

The NRN-Engineering Management Board is the senior governing body of the Network and will provide strategic input. The Board is chaired by the NRN Director and will be supported by the NRN administrative staff. Its specific responsibilities are:

  • To develop collaborative scientific initiatives through workshops, seminars, public lectures, etc.
  • To discuss and if appropriate agree to support joint bids to external funding calls and to monitor the progress of such bids and projects.
  • To oversee the User Engagement and Knowledge Transfer activities of the Network.
  • To issue calls for funding, arrange for the assessment of proposals and make appropriate funding awards.
  • To allocate resources to central activities, calls for funding and other network activities. 
  • To monitor the progress towards delivering the NRN targets and to prepare and agree reports to the Oversight Committee, the Scientific Advisory Board and the Welsh Government.
  • To oversee the Graduate School activities, including the provision of any specific training.
  • To implement and oversee collaborative outreach activities
  • To agree and monitor a strategy for external communication and dissemination of NRN activities
